Ingredient List

Pork Burgers with plum sauce

For the Burgers

500g (1lb) extra lean pork mince

1 onion, finely chopped

1 egg, beaten

2 - 3 tblsp chopped parsley

salt & pepper to taste

For the sauce

500g (1lb) plums, stoned

1 red onion, finely chopped

4 garlic cloves, finely chopped

1 root fresh ginger, grated

3 tblsp soft brown sugar

1 veg stock cube

 

Instructions

For the burgers

Mix all ingredients together & shape into burgers with hands.

Grill slowly for approximately 20 minutes. (10mins either side)

Make sure burgers are thoroughly cooked in the middle

For the sauce

Dissolve stock cube in 2-3 tblsp water in large pan, over gentle heat. Add onion & cook until soft. Add all other ingredients bring to the boil & allow to simmer for approx 20 - 30 minutes.
